Averill Electric was selected to provide complete Electrical, Communications, Fire Alarm, Intrusion and Audio visual systems for their state of the art Dormatory Facility.

This complex project included installing a new NSTAR Utility vault and complete 4,000-AMP power distribution system. Averill Electric managed installing new power to this historic building in the heart of Boston's Theater district.

This 10 story building was a complete gut and fit out included completely new power distribution switchgear, New GE Fire alarm voice annunciation system with smoke control panels. Emergency power systems included a 750-KVA roof mounted Catapillar Generator and multiple Automatic Transfer switches and emergency power panels throughout the building. A 1200-AMP Buss Duct was installed from the sub-basement to the roof for power requirements.

The Colonial Building includes Boston's Colonial Theater. Averill Electric's managment team worked closely with General Contractor Suffolk Construction, Emerson College and the Colonial Theater to insure the Theater was not affected by the transfer from old, outdated power and fire alarm systems to the newly installed state-of-the-art systems.

Averill Electric managed a team of up to 25 electricians and technicians for two years to complete this $6 Million electrical project. We completed our work four months ahead of schedule and worked closely with the owner to provide training on all systems in time for the new school year.
